A gunman opened fire on a Bronx street, hitting the young man he was aiming for and two innocent bystanders, police said Friday.
The assailant fired on a 24-year-old man that he was aiming at, but also hit a 67-year-old man in the arm and a 29-year-old man in the ankle at Jerome Ave. and E. 174th St. at 7:41 p.m. Thursday night in Morris Heights.
None of the wounds were fatal. The man targeted by the gunman made his own way to BronxCare Hospital with multiple bullet wounds. He’s in serious condition.
The other victims were taken by medics to St. Barnabas Hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
The four other victims were shot in Mott Haven, including Enriqueta Rivera, 71, was who killed 12:30 p.m. Thursday in an incident in which another woman, 34, was wounded.

Police believe that shooting is connected to the same gangs involved in the Wednesday shooting in which a 38-year-old was shot in the shoulder at the Mott Haven Houses.
The day before that, an 8-year-old boy stepping off a school bus near his Mott Haven home was shot by a bullet that pierced his left thigh. He is recovered and one of the shooters involved has been arrested.

Police said 9mm shell casings were recovered at the scene of the Jerome Ave. shooting and that the gunman may have drove off on a scooter.
His target, police said, would not answer questions from detectives.
