Two people were killed and two firefighters were injured in a Brooklyn apartment fire Sunday, officials said.

Firefighters were called to the four-story building on Bay 29th St. near Bath Ave. in Bath Beach just after 6:45 p.m., according to the FDNY.

A man running down the stairs to escape the building passed by an apartment, where he believes he saw a man engulfed in flames.

“He had a blue shirt, there was full-on fire across his face,” said Kervens Jasmin, 25, told the Daily News. “I’m not sure if the fire was in the air or if he himself was burning.”

Once inside the apartment, firefighters discovered two injured people, who were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two firefighters also suffered minor injuries in the blaze.

It took 60 FDNY members from 12 different units to knock down the flames, which were under control at 7:50 p.m., officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
