As President Obama prepares to fly into history, we came across this napkin sketch that was left on the private plane used by the President’s campaign staff on Election Day 2008. The memento comes from the photo archive of late, great Daily News aviation columnist Andy Danziger, who was Obama’s pilot on that historic day.
It’s unclear who on Obama’s staff sketched this masterpiece, but they clearly weren’t a fan of Fox News, which is represented by the nastiest snake of the bunch. ABC and CBS got a shout-out from the mystery artist as well.

The rendering is a reference to the kitschy 2006 thriller “Snakes on a Plane” where Samuel L. Jackson plays a tough guy airline pilot whose aircraft is besieged by venomous serpents. Those who Google “Obama Snakes on a Plane” will see something else entirely.
According to Danziger, then President-elect Obama invited him to come celebrate the big win in Chicago. The North American captain declined because he still had to get his 757 back to New York and vote.
