One man died and three were wounded in a blaze of gunfire Friday afternoon on a residential street in Queens, police said.
The men were standing near a car on 143rd St. near Foch Blvd. in South Jamaica at around 3:20 p.m. when their attacker walked up and started firing, said police.
EMS rushed the men to Jamaica Medical Center. One victim, 33, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Another man, 33, was reported in critical condition.

Two other victims — one 29, the other 39 — were being treated at the hospital for gunshot wounds. Their conditions were believed to be less serious.
The shooter fled on foot in an unknown direction, and police say they recovered a firearm at the scene.
Police said the shooting may have been gang-related, and that some of the men shot were known to investigators. The victims’ names were not released.
Police asked that anyone with information about the shooting contact Crime Stoppers online or by calling 800-577-TIPS (800-577-8477).
